How do I forward my number to a 3rd party SIP provider?
From the My Account page after logging in select Connect To from the My Numbers drop down. Edit the number you want to forward to the SIP provider by clicking the number or the reference then set up the number as follows:
- Set the Action to SIP URI
- Set the Number / Sip Server to the URI of your 3rd party SIP account e.g. 12345@mysipprovider.com. N.B. don't include the sip: prefix.
- Click Update to apply the changes.
- Call your number to test

How do I forward my number to voipcheap.co.uk?
If you have a VoIP in number or CLI such as +445601231231 you can forward calls to +445601231231@sip.voipcheap.co.uk. Alternatively try username@voipcheapuk.com as specified in voipcheap's DDI FAQ. For example:
- Set the Action to SIP URI
- Set the Number / Sip Server to +445601231231@sip.voipcheap.co.uk or username@voipcheapuk.com. N.B. don't include the sip: prefix.
- Click Update to apply the changes.
- Call your number to test
How do I setup call announcements (call whisper)
Call announcements also know as call whisper allow you to set announcements that either the caller or the called party (person answering the call) will hear. These are set independently so the caller can hear a different announcement to the called party.
How can I use my Net-Telco number as my outbound CLI from my UK land line?
From the My Account page after logging in select Connect From from the My Numbers drop down.
- Add the number of the land line you will be calling from.
- Select the Net-Telco number to use as your outgoing CLI.
- Click continue to save the changes.
- To make calls using your Net-Telco number as the outgoing CLI, prefix the number you are calling with 18844. For example to call Net-Telco you would dial 1884408458758750.
You must have call credit in your account to make calls.
Calls will be charged for at our standard rates plus 0.5p per minute.
(N.B. this feature is not available with free numbers)
How can I use my Net-Telco number as my outbound CLI from my mobile?
From the My Account page after logging in select Connect From from the My Numbers drop down.
- Add the number of the mobile you will be calling from.
- Select the Net-Telco number to use as your outgoing CLI.
- Click continue to save the changes.
- To make calls using your Net-Telco number as the outgoing CLI, call our gateway number 03302201100. You will be prompted for the number you want to call.
You must have call credit in your account to make calls.
Calls will be charged for at our standard rates.
Your mobile provider may charge you for calling our gateway number. If you have bundled minutes, calls to our gateway will be included in the bundled minutes.

Logging in
To log into your control panel your need the email address you signed up with and your password. You can login either at the top right of the website by entering your email, password and clicking the LOGIN link or you can login from the My Account page here.
Once Logged in the My Account page should look similer to the following.
Forgotten Password
If you can not remember your password go to the My Account page and click the Lost or Forgotten your password? link. Submit the required details and you will be emailed a password reminder.
Forgotten email address
If you have forgotten your email address contact customer.services@net-telco.net and provide the contact details you signed up, your account password and new email address so we can verify your account before changing the email address.
Topping Up
To top up your account first login and click the Topup link in the top up information box. Shown below.
Applying for a credit account
Top up users can apply for a credit account from the Top up page. Go to top up your account as normal (see above for help) and an information box will be displayed with a link to the credit application form. Fill in the form as appropriate and click submit.
Benefits of a credit account: You can buy telephone numbers and services on-line without requiring a credit card. You no longer need to remember to top up your account when it gets low. The amount owed will be collected automatically by direct debit within 30 days after the end of the month being charged. You will receive an electronic invoice each month for the amount outstanding.
My Numbers
Connect To
The Connect To page shows a list of your Net-Telco numbers and their current set up. The following is a list of the field meanings.
- Ref - A reference field where you can set a name to remind you what the number is for.
- Number - Your Net-Telco number.
- Status - shows both an icon and a label. The icon meanings are displayed below the list of numbers. The label indicates how the number is currently set.
- Destination - The destination number or SIP URL that has been set. (If applicable)
To set up (edit) your number you can click on either the reference or number field to bring up a page like the following:
The fields on this page are for the following :
- Action - What you want the number to do:
- Held for Customer - This indicates the number has not been configured with a destination to forward calls to. A caller will hear an announcement to that effect.
- SIP URI - forward the call to a 3rd party SIP provider account. Enter the SIp URI for the account into the Sip URI field e.g. 12345@mysipprovider.com without the sip: prefix
- SIP Server - forward the call to a 3rd party SIP Server. Enter the domain/IP of the server e.g. mysipserver.com into the Sip Server field
- Forward Number - A landline, mobile or international number to forward the call to e.g. 03302202222, 00443302202222. N.B. international must start 00 and only numbers can be entered no spaces or other character. This option supports Call Re-Direction on busy and on no answer.
- Reject Call - immediatly hang up the call without answering it.
- Voicemail - The call will be answered by a voicemail service. The voicemail will be sent to the email address entered in the Email Address field.
- Trunk - The destination is to a SIP or IAX trunk. Enter your SIP ID and destination number into the Number field e.g. 6000022
- Fax to Email - Set the number as an incoming fax number and enter the email address to receive the faxes in the Email Address field
- Solo Account - Forward calls to your Solo account. Put you Solo User ID in the Number field.
- Number / Sip Server - the number or SIP URI to forward to (this filed changes to reflect the chosen action)
- Your reference - a reference field you can use as a reminder of what the number is for
- Announce to Called - An announcement to play to the recipient of the call
- Announce to Caller - An announcement to play to the caller
- Re-Direct on No Answer - An alternate telephone number to forward the call to if the Action number has not been answered. (Applies to Forward Number only).
- Timeout - Length of time to wait for an answer before re-directing to the No-Answer destination.
- Re-Direct on Busy - An alternate telephone number to forward the call to if the Action number is busy (engaged).
- Accept Calls from Phone Boxes - This applies to 0800 numbers only and allows you to choose whether to accept calls from phone boxes. Calls from phone boxes incur an additional per minute charge of 13 pence on top of the normal charge.
Connect From
The Connect From page shows numbers that have been registered to make out going calls through Net-Telco. These include system numbers such as Solo account and VoIP Trunk numbers as well as any phone numbers you may have registered with your account such as your mobile and landline numbers.
Why would I register my landline and mobile?
Registering your landline and mobile numbers allows you to use them to make calls through Net-Telco and take advantage of low call costs and other services such as changing the outgoing CLI. Please see our international call gateway and IDA pages for more information. There is no limit on the amount of numbers you can register.
The list of registered numbers shows the following field:
- NickName - A name you have assigned to use as a reminder of the number
- Number - The system number or a number registered by you
- Outgoing CLI - This is the CLI that will be presented to the person you are calling. It is either one of your Net-Telco purchased numbers or blank which means the CLI will not be changed.
- Options - Either Locked Number for a system number or a Delete link to remove a registered number
Announcements
The Announcments page shows any announcements you have recorded for use with your telephone numbers. Please see the section on Connect To above for details on assigning them to a number or watch the video tutorial.
The page shows instruction for recording announcements as well as a list of any that have been recorded. When you record an announcement it is given the time and date as the name. You can rename it to something more meaningful. The page also allows you to listen to the announcements through your computer and delete any unwanted announcements.
Virtual Phone Card
The Virtual Phone Card page alows you to set 2 PIN numbers for use with our Virtual Calling Card service. This service allows you to make calls through Net-Telco to UK and international destinations from virtually any phone in the world. Just dial our International Gateway Dial through number and you will be asked for your calling card number and your PIN, enter PIN A for the calling card number and PIN B for the PIN. Once verified you will be asked for the number to call. See our Calling Card page details including the number to dial.
When entering your PIN numbers on this page please make sure they are entirely numeric and at leats 6 digits long.
Account
Account Details
This page lets you edit your contact information and also opt in or out of receiving news emails from Net-Telco detailing new features, offers or promotions. We do not share your information with anyone else. All fields marked with a red asterisk must be filled in.
This page also contains links for resetting your password and email address.
VoIP Account
The VoIP Account page shows the connection details for your Solo SIP account if you have created one. A Solo SIP account allows you to make and receive calls using a suitable SIP phone or ATA. There are no call charges if you forward incoming calls on your Net-Telco number to your Solo account. You must first buy a Net-Telco number in order to qualify for a free Solo account.
The details shown are the details you need to configure your SIP device to connect to Net-Telco to make and receive calls. You can also set the CLI to use on outgoing calls and delete the account if no longer used.

eFax / eSMS
Email to Fax allows you to send faxes from your email account without the need for a fax machine. You can send text in the email and add PDF attachments which is useful if you need to scan in a signed document.
Faxes sent in this way are charged at the same rate as phone calls.
To send a Fax first you must have Email to Fax enabled in your account. You can then send a fax from the same email address you use to log into your Net-Telco account with. Set the recipient to be:
- <number>@faxcentre.co.uk where <number> is the full UK or international number with leading zeros
- e.g. 08458758750@faxcentre.co.uk
Email to SMS allows you to send SMS messages from your email account to mobile phones and landlines. Messages too long for a standard SMS are split up and sent as individual messages.
SMS messages are charged at 10p each.
To send a SMS first you must have Email to SMS enabled in your account. You can then send a fax from the same email address you use to log into your Net-Telco account with. Set the recipient to be:
- <number>@smscentre.co.uk where <number> is the full UK or international number with leading zeros
- e.g. 08458758750@smscentre.co.uk
Daily Credit Limit
This menu option is only available on credit accounts. It allows you to set a limit on the amount of call credit you can use in 1 day.
It purpose is to limit your exposure in the event of unauthorized calls through your account that may arise if your systems are compromised and prevents you from receiving a large call bill.
You can set the value anywhere between the 2 limits shown. The limits are based on your monthly credit limit.
Please note this limit can be breached if multiple concurrent calls are in progress at the time the limit is reached.
My Customers
The My Customers page is only available if you are an affiliate or reseller. The page shows a list of customers that have created Net-Telco accounts through your referrer URL. The number of numbers they have bought and combined value of those numbers is displayed.
Billing
View Bills
This page shows a list of your monthly bills with a link through to each months itemized bill and a link to export the bill in ms-excel csv format which can be viewd in Microsoft Excel, Open Office and others. The first item in the list shows the calls billed so far in the current month.
The itemized bill shows the following details:
- Date - The time and date the call was made
- Caller - The originating number/party of the call (if available)
- Called - The recipient number/party of the call
- Duration - The length of the call in seconds. This is the Answered portion of the call only
- Amount - The cost of the call
- Cost Centre - The cost centring code used (only applies if the feature is in use)
Previous Orders
This page shows all orders made through Net-Telco including number purchases, upgrades, renewals and top ups. The following fields are shown:
- Order No - The unique order reference number.
- Value - The order value (not including vat)
- Date - the date of the order
- Summary - The type of order made
- Status - the order status
- Details - A link through to the full order details.
Clicking through to the full order details shows the full order including any Net-Telco numbers involved and the billing address.
Call Recording
This page allows you to enable call recording and view your recordings. It looks similer to the following:
To enable call recording click the link at the top. This will then change to allow you to disable call recording.
The month calendar allows you to select a day to view recordings. The present day is selected by default. Only days that have recordings are links days without recordings can not be clicked on.
The Telephone number search allows you to search for all recordings made to or from a particular number. You can enter just part of a number to search too.
The list of recordings shows the following information:
- Caller - The number originating the call
- Called - The recipient number
- Date - The time and date of the call
- Duration - The length of the call in seconds
- Recorded File - Links to listen to the recoding through your computer and for downloading the recording to your computer.
